Overview
The Rising Sun hotel, CLEEVE Hill, Prestbury, Cheltenham, GL52 3PX www.greenking-pubs.co.uk The Star marks are low simply because this is not a wheelchair friendly hotel, but a nice place if you are able bodied or can cope with a lot of stairs, and dining here offers excellent meals. This was hard work for Dennis, a lot of help and support was needed, but staff are willing and somehow we managed, but never again, and that’s a shame, because it’s a nice little place.
Transport & Parking
It’s a pleasant ride with lovely views across towards the Malvern hills, then a short steep climb for the car to enter their car park.
Access
From your car to the hotels entrance is nice enough, level up to the entrance, but then there is a small step to get up so that you can enter reception, but after this it is nothing but steps, just not a disabled persons hotel. If you can cope with steps though, lots of them, then this is a nice little place.
Toilets
Cannot use toilets without entering bar area, and there are to many stairs for that.
Staff
Nice and friendly, and willing to support you.
