Overview

A very beautiful seaside town going back to the times of Tiberius Augustus to which there are monuments and buidngs from this period. Full of majestic buildings in terracotta colours, lots of square, and open gardens full of plants and flowers, the main boulevard goes along the edge of the beach with streets and lanes that have a range of pizzaries and bars. We were told it was the Blackpool of the Riviera, where that similarity comes from I can’t say. Rimini is on flat land, fully accessible with bus service provision , the train station and ample taxi provision. Cycling and the availability of bikes is big here. Rimini is seen as a place of relaxation and enjoyment and with the weather of clear blue sky and 25c teams one can understand. There was ample access for vehicles, we took the bus from Rimini central Square to San Marino for the second game - €2 per journey, every 20 mins. The. choice and variety of foods and was enjoyable, although there was a tourist feel about Rimini it was not excessive and down to personal choice.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Rimini had a really nice feel to it, I think having over 2000 Scots there gave them an early boost to the local economy.
