Overview
Recently had to go back into the wheelchair, so really anxious about going out using my wheels. As soon as I arrived my worries were eased. Staff especially helpful without being patronising, they spoke to me rather than my partner and asked if I needed help rather than assuming . Yes, there are steps around but each part of the garden is accessible via a different route. The gravel is set into concrete and not that deep so self propelling is fine, although there are a few very steep inclines but quite a few pre-bookable scooters if you want one. Great lot of accessible toilets and the shop/ garden center has wide aisles. Will definitely be going back.
Transport & Parking
Lots of disabled parking bays.
Access
Everywhere is accessible but it might mean taking an alternative route - I went with a regular visitor who knew his way around, so you might need to ask or use a map. You have to pre-book the scooters, which get booked up quickly, so if you need one its not a place to go for a spur-of-the-moment visit (hence the 3.5*).
