Overview
Just the sort of cafe you want in your neighbourhood: good food, helpful staff and large, clean wheelchair loo
Transport & Parking
This cafe is on a busy high street, so the parking doesn't look promising at first, but then it turns out there are two pay and display car parks just round the back, and blue badge users are free.
Access
Little bit of a lip to bump over at the front door, but all level inside. It's a small cafe, so it's fair enough to expect to squeeze wheelchairs and small scooters around the tables, but the staff were quick to move things out of the way as needed and other customers were happy to stand up and pull their chairs in for a moment.
Toilets
An unexpectedly big wheelchair loo for this size of cafe, with plenty of rails and impressively clean. Left me with a good feeling about the place that inspired me to write this review.
Staff
It's a family business where the staff and many of the customers know each other by name. Yes, this is possible in London!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
As well as the access being surprisingly good, the food was decent too. It's the kind of all-day breakfast, jacket potatoes and burger-and-chips menu you'd expect from a local cafe, but a lot of the food was home-made rather than from the freezer, and it was properly tasty.
