Overview

This is a review from my mum of the sports facility as the vaccination centre. She has a hidden impairment and told me about her experience with herself and me (wheelchair user) in mind.

Transport & Parking

On approach to gated car park there were plenty of staff to direct me to car park instructing me after parking to make my way to main entrance. Absolutely loads of blue badge parking spaces and many many more spaces within easy reach of entrance

Access

There were many staff to show the way and all kept a safe distance even opening entry and exit doors. Meaning I did not have to touch handles etc. I felt I had minimum contact with surfaces making me feel safe. Lanes were wide and distancing was very clearly marked. The entire facility was in ground level no steps or difucult access in my opinion easy access for all. Also there was a large spacious rest area before exit for people to sit with chairs 2 meters apart for the time anyone needed.

Toilets

I had no need to use toilets at the clinic injection facility this time but being in the sports center I have used bathroom facilities there in the past and the accessible toilets are spacious and clean

Staff

At entrance there was more staff to talk me through procedure all masked and sanitation and sterilizer given as I entered building. All staff reassuring and very professional and put me completely at ease I felt very safe
