Overview
We were in Paris for a few days and made extensive use of the bus network. All busses have a ramp which comes out of the middle door of the bus (usually the one marked no entry) and this is extended by the driver. If anyone was in the wheelchair spaces (usually two per bus) they always moved without us having to ask. Having got on board, you then stamp your ticket, ask someone to stamp it for you, or buy a ticket and do one of these. Often the driver would come and ask where I wanted to get off. If you plan your journey carefully, the bus is easy to use. It does take considerably longer than the Metro but the Metro system is almost totally inaccessible for anyone in a wheelchair so you have little option other than a taxi (expensive).
