Overview
I went to a family party at the Opal Restaurant and really enjoyed the openness of the facilities and the accessible toilet - however the lock does need fixed!
Transport & Parking
Accessible parking is outside the restaurant entrance and there are drop off areas at the entrance of the hotel.
Access
The hotel is level access - if you want to go to the restaurant you have to go in the side main entrance (as opposed to down the few steps from reception). Doors were not automatic but not too heavy for myself to push. I cannot comment on the rooms and other common areas of the hotel.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is at the back of the restaurant through a single door. The actual toilet door is a sliding one which I really like as it means I don’t have to pull back or push in. The toilets were clean and had enough room for myself in a wheelchair and one other person to move around safely. The lock is dodgy in the accessible toilet which I mentioned to staff so take care incase this hasn’t been fixed yet!
