Overview
Very little thought has been put into this event, it was on street parking with no reserved parking for blue badge holders. The queuing system was problematic as wheelchairs were expected to get through a small gated area then narrow lanes to access the park. The venue was a massive tent in the gardens. Unfortunately little thought had been put into how wheelchairs got to the tent. It had been raining so the ground was marshy and difficult to move on. Also the entrance recommended for wheelchair users was on an uneven slope. The accessible platform was placed at the back of the tent and so far away that you could barely see the stage. Thankfully there were screens but they were also far away and you had to squint. Also the metal structures holding up the tent meant it was a very restricted view. The accessible platform was shared VIP ticket holders and there was only one toilet for everyone. Unfortunately this was not on the platform and had not been cordoned off so anyone in the crowd could use it. The tent caused acoustic problems as the sound was bouncing around, this was challenging for my wife who has some audio problems. At least the act we went to see was brilliant and the security staff were really helpful for getting about. There was a food village so plenty of options including a vegan food seller.
