Overview
Great value home cooked Punjabi food served by lovely friendly staff. Really tasty Indian food. Spacious restaurant. Free wifi. Cash only.
Transport & Parking
Parking available on street outside but no designated disabled parking.
Access
There is a small lip at the front access to negotiate. 4-5cm. Staff friendly and would be happy to help if this posed a problem for a wheelchair user. My daughter is a manual wheelchair user and would probably have managed it herself although we helped her on this occasion as she is new to her wheelchair. Shouldn't pose a problem for motorised wheelchair. Plenty space in restaurant/cafe for manoeuvring.
Toilets
The disabled loo itself is reasonably spacious with a grab rail on the right side. Doubles as baby changing area so there is a table in the corner. My daughter had no problem moving around in the loo however the small corridor outside is a bit tight and she had to back into the entrance of the men's loo to be able to open the door in to the restaurant. Apart from that she managed well. An easy fix would be to rehang the door from restaurant to toilet corridor the other way.
Staff
The staff were lovely. Happy to explain the menu and they had a sign stating they had gluten free and vegan options.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Would recommend for a quick, good value, tasty lunch in the Leith Walk area of Edinburgh.
