Overview
The first issue we had was finding a parking space beside the ground. However, we finally found a disabled parking space near the spotty bag shop in Banff. We then had to cross the road and follow this bumpy path until we got to the ground, and I was expecting to be told if I could go around the side of the ground to access (Deveronvale if you're reading this PLEASE let wheelchairs/scooters around the side of the ground) because I had to go through a "Wheelchair entrance" which wasn't good. I had to drive through a very tight angle (call me Michael Schumacher) then there was an about 4-inch drop so I needed a strewed to lift me down. When we finally entered the ground and a member of staff greeted us and welcomed us to Princess Royal Park and told us that we could go in a disabled shelter, it had a ramp up to the door of the shelter but there were already 4 people in the shelter so I, unfortunately, couldn't get into the disabled shelter so I can't really comment. We then went around the back of the 'stand' and found a quiet spot with a good view to watch the football match, another thing I would like to comment on is the fact that Princess Royal Park has smooth cement paths all the way around the stadium, perfect for wheelchairs! At halftime, I asked the Steward to show me when the toilet is so I was surprised to find out there was a disabled toilet. When I went into the disabled loo, I was annoyed as there was no red cord but besides that, the toilet was pretty good. At the end of the match, we left by the gate behind the stand.
Transport & Parking
The stadium can be reachable by public transport. There are Keith and Huntly railway stations located in around 20 miles away from the ground, south-west and south-southwest directions respectively. MacDuff is the nearest bus station to the ground. A car is the easiest option if you're wanting to go to Princess Royal Park.
Access
Access is alright. I don't think the 4-inch drop at the entrance is good but I like that wheelchairs/scooters can move around the ground due to the paths.
Toilets
I'm surprised but Deveronvale actually had a disabled toilet but it wasn't the best. It didn't have a red cord but it had most of the things that I needed.
Staff
The only staff that we met were all pretty nice and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I am sorry that I never got too many photos but I was driving back from the gym one day and my phone fell out of my basket and in front of my scooter wheel :( So I had to use my dads Nokia 3310 so I'm sorry folks! I messaged the Deveronvale FC facebook page a few days before regarding access but they never replied. As you can see I am on a mission to go to every highland league ground and review it here. Let's GO!!
