Overview
Newer build property so decent wheelchair access
Transport & Parking
Bus stop a short walk away from entrance to main reception (I got the bus from Derby Bus Station, the bus stop is on other side of road otherwise. There are traffic lights to assist with crossing but this does make the walk further). There are two disabled bays next to main entrance.
Access
There is tactile pavement markers on path. If walking there is a heavy metal gate. The doors open automatically. Reception desk had a lowered section for writing on but no lowered serving section that I could see. Lights were bright and there wasn't any music. The building is huge with lots of facilities I haven't accessed. The shop had enough space for a chair to get between the aisles.
Toilets
There is a disabled loo on left of main entrance. Grab rails are white and around toilet and sink. There was a lowered mirror and hand dryer. The lock wasn't ergonomic and required some grip & strength to use. Toilet was left side transfer but there was a baby changing table next to toilet with a bin. Enough space to turn a chair.
Staff
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Entrance gates should be kept open as this could act as a barrier for many. Covid: 1 in 1 out. Screens. Hand sanitizer. Social distancing. Masks. You can go in now.
