Nice room but let down on attention to detail.

Overview
Allocated room G11 which was classed as an accessible room. Room was clean and fresh. No complaints on this aspect. Entrance to the room was good, as was the space within the room and bathroom. However, for what is meant to be an accessible room, it was really let down on the finer points. Firstly the bed base had very little space underneath and there was no way for our hoist to be able to fit under it to transfer. Bed may be OK for this who can side transfer. But I had to sleep in my chair as couldn't get the hoist legs under the bed. Bathroom was a good size and easy to enter it but there is absolutely no safety equipment such as grab rails or emergency pull cords. There was also no questions about support needs in the event of an emergency evacuation on checking in.
Transport & Parking
Ok car park, only a couple of disabled spaces that were already occupied when we arrived. Car park surface is quite rough in places.
Access
Entrance ramp is OK but it's not flat and curves down at each side. Entrance door has a small lip but again it's OK. Entrance door is passable with care due to the width. There is a small 2nd part to the door that was locked but assumingly could be opened if required
Toilets
Staff
Staff member was friendly and welcoming but was unable to assist with the problems with our bed as all beds are the same.
