Overview

Excellent accessibility from the automated front doors, the accessible toilet in the lobby, the large lifts, spacious restaurant, and great accessible room. Staff were excellent and very helpful.

Transport & Parking

No parking for cars but a great location for public transport. London buses stop in the street outside. Waterloo station is a short distance from the hotel; as is Waterloo Underground station.

Access

Disabled access in the hotel was much better than expected. The accessible bedroom with wet room was well laid out with plenty of space. Great to have plugs for charging my powerchair in easy to reach places. The wet floor room was large and had a good shower, accessible hand basin and toilet. Bright, light and spotlessly clean. The corridors and lifts were wide enough to easily get around. The restaurant was easy to get into and the tables allowed for good wheelchair access. Plenty of spaces to sit and relax.

Toilets

Great to see a hotel that has planned for accessibility and the provision of suitable toilets. There was a really good wet room in the bedroom. An accessible toilet was located in the foyer area and another adjacent to the bar and restaurant. All of these were spotlessly clean, spacious and easy to use.

Staff

All the staff from the reception team through to the restaurant staff and the people looking after the rooms were great. Nothing was too much trouble. They moved the beds for us, helped to find the best table in the restaurant for access for my wheelchair, and offered help in the self service breakfast area. The front of house team were friendly and offered helpful advice about the local area. Their collective efforts made the visit easier than expected and a place I and my colleague would certainly visit again.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Liked the menus in the room as it made it easier for my visually impaired colleague to read prior to going to dinner. A really good location and not too difficult to get to the main tourist spots.
