Overview
We stay in loads of premier inn hotels but this one is extra special. It is so lovely to have staff awaiting your arrival and knowing your name and your access needs from the booking without having to go over it all again in reception. The rooms are spacious and accessible (I went for the lowered bath this time). Lifts provide access to all floors including the basement for breakfast. Some of the rooms have incredible views. Parking is a bit of an issue but their are carparks available or the station is very close.
Transport & Parking
I went by car as I was travelling a long way. Unfortunately blue badge disabled parking isn’t the same in London as it is across the rest of the country and as a result parking is more difficult. London parking in the carparks is expensive, and there isn’t really a close one (when you have mobility needs and a suitcase). My friends came by train arriving at Paddington and found it very easy. We used taxi’s to go out in the evening and had no issues flagging them down. A really good location.
Access
Lift access to all floors. Doors are card access controlled. Accessible room had a low bath, hand rails, pull cords and an emergency buzzer. I was also given the direct number for reception if I needed to call for help. I put a door hanger on my door handle that says “assistance dog in room, May not be vested, in an emergency do not separate from handler” and I think it would be a great idea if this was something premier inn considered providing.
Toilets
Accessible toilets available in the rooms and bar
