Overview

This Premier Inn Hotel is situated about 2miles from Harrogate Town Centre but is easy to reach and free parking for Disabled Customers at the rear of the premises. Easy access to the reception area is all on the level and my accessible bedroom was located on the ground floor with easy access. I understand there are extra accessible rooms upstairs which are easily reached by lift, but I would ring and check this out before booking. Parts of the hotel are showing wear and tear but it is up for re-furbishing so check exactly what is on offer before booking. There is also level access to an excellent restaurant/bar. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom accommodated my wheelchair easily. Bed height is normally set for wheelchair transfer but if you need extra height you can ask for the bed raisers to be fitted. Reception staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Transport & Parking

The are disabled parking spaces at the rear of the hotel and the Hornbeam Park Train station is at the rear of the hotel car park.

Access

Disabled access is excellent for both the hotel and restaurant . There are stairs up t the bedrooms but the hotel has a lift to all floors. You need to be aware also that this hotel is up for re-furbishing so check exactly what is on offer before booking Signage was very clear and staff were on hand to guide you if needed.

Toilets

The bedroom accessible loo was easily accessed by wheelchair. There was only a bath and that looked very narrow. No shower. Quite easy to manoeuvre wheelchair . There were grab rails and it was clean. There was also room for a carer.

Staff

All were very helpful and efficient. The welcome and check out were fine as well and all staff made the visit a good experience.

This hotel is well-placed for all events in the Harrogate area. I would certainly use again but check your accommodation requirements before booking, especially as the hotel is up for refurbishment.
