Overview
I'm an ambulant electric wheelchair user and otherwise walk with a stick. The room was comfortable. Most doors were a bit heavy. Sometimes corners were a little tight. Lifts were heavily used by all customers and a bit on the small side. It was possible but not very easy to turn around in the lift. I was in bedroom 801, on the eighth floor. It was in a corner with no passersby and was quiet. The small window looked out along Sauchiehall Street. The window did not open. The air conditioning was on when I arrived. I tried to increase the room temperature but am not sure whether I was pressing the right buttons. I was able to turn it off and the temperature was OK. It had a wetroom shower with a shower seat attached to the wall, with a comfortable rubber covering. I didn't use the handrails for the shower or toilet. Breakfast on the first morning was extremely busy (around 9am). Too overstimulating fire me. I made the mistake of going to breakfast on foot with my walking stick. I was seated fairly near the buffet. The second morning I went to breakfast in my electric wheelchair. I was seated at the table nearest the drinks. Staff offered to get my food and drink for me, which was a much better choice.
