Overview
Premier Inns in my experience are much of a muchness but I choose to comment on this one on account of the restaurant (better than Derby last year) and the bathrooms (ditto).
Transport & Parking
Best to arrive by road as the venue is somewhat difficult to find (and can be confused with Sunderland North up the road. However, once there the car park is perfectly adequate with several disabled spaces.
Access
Apart from the odd incline, the interior was all level access. Corriders were a bit narrow and turns rather tight for wheelchairs; rooms however were a good size.
Toilets
Dotted regularly around the place and a decent size too, as with the ensuite facilities in the rooms.
Staff
If you'll excuse the stereotype - typical Geordie; friendly, helpful and apparently efficient.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Both my companion and I were strangers to the area (although m friend grew up in nearby Washington - where we went every morning for breakfast). We were there to watch the Test in Durham so this made a good base. Not knowing the area, we ate in every evening (trying to avoid screaming kids!
