Overview
Sadly, I have to give the Premier Inn a low overall score as the external access to the building for me, as a powerchair user, was awful.
Transport & Parking
Great if you use a car. No chance of getting here on foot as a wheelchair user as the entire site is fenced off. Barriers block any pedestrian access and the only way I could get in and out was to follow a car using the road. One alternative for visiting the NEC was to wheel up a grassy bank and go through a gap in the fence like many other visitors.
Access
Internally access was good. The accessible room was fine although of the older style so it was a little cramped for my powerchair.
Toilets
The accessible loo in the room was fine as was the one in the main foyer.
Staff
Staff were fab and helped with the challenges of self service breakfast. Evening meals were ok as I got to sit in a suitable place. It was incredibly busy so service was a little slow at times. That said, all the staff were cheery and helpful.
