Overview
Port Sunlight village dates back to the 19th Century and was build by then William Leaver for his workers at the Sunlight soap factor the Village is a mixture of different styles of houses that a fact still lived in to today. You are able to drive round the village and admire the wonderful architecture of the period however you have to respect the fact that these are in fact still peoples homes. There is also a museum that shows a film and takes you through the story the village there is a charge to go round the Museum and the cottage next to it that gives you an example of the homes the workers lived in
Transport & Parking
While there are no Blue Badge spaces available there is lots of street parking if you want to admire any of the buildings in the village. Not sure about public transport links however there is a train line that passes the village with trains going to Liverpool information on this should be available on the rail site
Access
As the village dates from the early 19th Centaury there is a mixture of cobles and paving slabs on the roads and streets etc. However it is mostly level and there are no major obstacles such as very high kerbs etc. There are also lots of garden areas for rest that have standard park bench seating available If you visit the museum on the site you will find it has level access to the door however it can be difficult to move in a wheelchair in parts due to display stands etc. There is a Tea Room on the first floor at the Museum and a Wheelchair lift to access this area however did not visit this area during the visit
Toilets
There is one Accessible toilet it is next to the Museum and as a result is only available when the museum is open this is normal 9am to 5pm
Staff

Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is also a Garden Centre at Port Sunlight however we did not visit this during our visit
