Overview
My husband and I and two friends and two dogs had a great week at Selma Lodge. I am a wheelchair user I had a power chair in the lodge which had plenty of room to move about. The owners left us goodies including wine which was nice. The wet room was large enough and the shower chair provided was large and sturdy. The sink was a disappointment which I couldn't use being in a wheelchair. We had great weather and the lodge is only 5-minutes walk a long a bumpy track to a fantastic beach on the shores of Loch linnhe. We managed a trip to Lismore from Port Appin but I had to be lifted onto the ferry in my wheelchair it is a good job I am small! We all had a marvellous holiday.
Transport & Parking
Parking is outside the lodge and there is a ramp to get inside so all was good
Access
The lodge had lots of room to manoeuvre in a wheelchair. Externally the pretty patio was accessible in a wheelchair and we ate there several times. Not far from the lodge is a tarmac cycle path which allows you to travel along For miles. Also it was easy but bumpy to get to a lovely beach in 5-minutes
Toilets
They wet room and toilet was good except for the sink which was very small and had a pedestal meaning I couldn't use it sitting in my wheelchair. The shower was lovely and hot and the shower chair provided was large and sturdy. The lodge does not have hoists or profile beds but I did not need these There was a separate bathroom for our friends what was great
Staff
The family members that we met who owned the lodge were friendly and helpful. They also left cheese oatcakes biscuits and wine which was lovely
