Overview

This venue (attended for a show as part of the Festival Fringe). Inside it was lovely, but it's hampered somewhat by its surroundings.

Transport & Parking

Its challenging to park round here at the best of times, but during the festival it is even more difficult. You'll be thankful to find ANY parking, never mind a wide accessible bay. On the plus side, many buses serve this location (all carry manual chairs, most will take a powered chair but none take scooters) and taxis are easy to obtain.

Access

During the festival there are large crowds outside, could be difficult for those who find crowds intimidating. The lift appeared self-service but wouldn't move. No call button external to request assistance, staff too far inside door to attract attention from street. Managed to get up in lift using call button, door at top locked, shouted till I got in. Quiet waiting area with seating and space to move in wheelchair. Got stuck in the lift AGAIN on the way out! They do service it, it takes some knocks being outside in a city centre.

Toilets

Disabled loo inside "no entry" area, no signage to disabled loo, some might not realise there's another loo, can feel self conscious of asking when not visibly disabled. Actual loo very large, good turning circle to left of loo (as sat). One fixed vertical rail to L, one drop down rail to L, one fixed vertical and fixed horizontal to R. Good access to basin paper, dryer, emergency cord hangs to floor. Standard loos down stairs - approx 16 straight stairs, rails both sides

Staff

Very friendly, helpful but not overbearing. Dealt really well with the lift incident.
