Overview
Positives: 1. Information prior to event with disabled parking ticket and PA / carer ticket. 2. Excellent welcome by staff at disabled check-in - we did not need to leave the car. 3. Transport to the event from check-in including PA and 2 other family members. 4. Viewing platforms with the option of additional friends / family to accompany as well as PA. 5. Excellent assistance of Jon Dyster in facilitating transport between stages especially with adverse weather conditions was much appreciated. Areas for improvement: 1. Improvements to the terrain ( eg. ? walkways / matting) which due to combination of mud and rain made pushing a wheelchair extremely challenging. 2. Better signage / organisation to facilitate exit of disabled car park . 3. More transport buggies to allow easy movement between all the stages / tents therefore reducing the need to push or move a chair across difficult surfaces. Overall great experience. Excellent staff.Willing to go above and beyond
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking relatively close . Greeted by specialist staff.Transport in golf buggy arranged.. Some problems moving wheelchair over muddy field .
Access
Signage could be improved see overall comments. Viewing platform available for disabled persons and carers . Security staff monitored platform.
Toilets
Disabled loo beside each platform was reasonable size and reasonably clean. Security staff monitored the use of these toilets with some challenges
Staff
Staff responsible for organising disabled festivals attendees were very good . Please see overall comments .
Anything else you wish to tell us?
My son and other family members had a great experience. The one thing which would have improved the day would have been the existence of hard walkways between the viewing platforms , food outlets and disabled car park and more buggies. Family members found it difficult to move my son in his wheelchair through the mud. The wheel grip on the chair stopped working the day after. However all family members would repeat the experience.
