Overview

A brilliant brilliant evening - definitely go if you get the chance! The approach to the castle is fairly steep - so be prepared but the event is absolutely fantastic so well worth it!

Transport & Parking

We went to the Tattoo on foot but they do make some provision for Vehicle passes for people sitting in the accessible seating area. If you have one of these you can do a drop off and pick up but this is at least 60 mins before it starts and then you must find a parking space. If you're not driving then there are buses on royal mile but remember its fringe time and some bits are shut off and very busy.

Access

Once you're at the tattoo and past the 100m hill it's well thought out. There is wheelchair accessible seating right at the front of the stands which I imagine gets you right into the heart of the action! We sat in stands & there can be lots of steps depending on your row. They are fairly steep but do have a rail / bannister on both sides so that you can hold on to that and there is room for a person to hold onto on your other side. If it was wet then you'd have to be doubly careful as would be slippy.

Toilets

We didn't use them but saw plenty of signs for loos and disabled toilets.

Staff

Staff great - very helpful!

Wonderful evening - definitely go if you get the chance. They make provision for induction loop users but this needs to be booked with your tickets. And they do do one audio described performance - usually the preview performance.
