Maui Comedy Festival
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
All festival venues are wheelchair accessible and there are multiple nearby ADA compliant hotel options, including the festival's hotel partner, the Hyatt Ka'anapali. Staff, crew and volunteers of the festival go above and beyond to accommodate wheelchair users and their caregivers - including front row seats for most shows . Overall, a great event and worth the trip to Maui!
Transport & Parking
There is an accessible shuttle running from the Ka'anapali hotels to the venues, but private transportation proved to be easier. Parking spots were ample and well marked within a block of almost all venues.
Access
All venues were accessible (no steps) except for one. Venues were busy but there was room to get around. Seating for wheelchair users was typically front row.
Toilets
Varied depending on the venue but most were ADA compliant and easy to use.
Staff
Very helpful. We let them know we were coming and they greeted us personally. Escorted us to our seats and made sure we were comfortable.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Maui is a fantastic place to visit and the biggest obstacle (although not insurmountable) is transportation. Accommodations and activities outside of the festival were plentiful. Highly recommended event. more info at: mauicomedyfestival.com
