Overview
This charging facility is operated by PoGo and is located in the car park of the Govan Cross shopping centre. At the time of my visit, it appeared to be undergoing some work, as some of the spaces were restricted. There is signage explaining that the facilities are temporarily powered by recycled cooking oil, which felt too unusual not to mention.
Transport & Parking
There are bus routes local to this location, not to mention the bus station on the other side of the shopping centre and the subway just next to it. Given that it's a charging facility, I expect most will be coming by car.
Access
As with most EV charging facilities I've found, there are access issues. There are bollards in front of the machine, which always makes things difficult and means you may need to stretch to access the machine. The machine has a touch screen, which does not offer adjustment for disabled people, and a card reader on the front. The charging cables are type 2 only and are anchored to the side of the machine. There are support wires for each of the cables, which helps take the weight, something that really should be standard in all EV chargers. There are 14 spaces, all of which have enough room to open a car door fully, but only one side of the vehicle. The access is better than most facilities, but that's not saying much.
Toilets
There are no toilets here, though there are accessible toilets in the Govan Cross Shopping Centre, the location that the car park and EV chargers serve.
