Overview
Accessing the canalside from Melbourne village (near the Melbourne Arms) was relatively good. Once there the path was quite narrow and rough, suitable only for all-terrain wheelchairs. You can get quite a long way towards Pocklington but on the day we went it was 31C and akin to being in a tumble drier! I couldn't see much, as being summer the vegetation was too tall. Highlight: enjoying a cold drink and ice cream sitting at the front of The Melbourne Arms. Downside: No wheelchair accessible disabled toilets in the vicinity.
Transport & Parking
Free parking on the road outside the Melbourne Arms pub.
