Overview
Three levelled pizza restaurant with level access on one level located in the heart of St Andrews.
Transport & Parking
We parked at on-street council parking which is about a 5-minute walk from Pizza Express but, I’m not sure if there is any closer. There isn’t a designated car park for Pizza Express. I’m not from St Andrews so, I’m unable to comment on the public transport.
Access
There are double doors to enter Pizza Express. The doors were open when I visited because it was a very warm day but, I couldn’t see an access button to help open the door. As you enter there is a station where you wait for a table and a spacious seating area, although it is beside the staircase to the toilets and I felt like I was in the way a little. I noticed there are tables on 3 levels in Pizza Express but, there was no wheelchair access apart from on the level that you enter on. There are plenty of tables on the level access but, they are quite close together without much space for a wheelchair users to get between tables. The tables were at a good height for wheelchair users.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is fairly spacious however, you can only transfer at the left-hand side of the toilet. When I visited the emergency red cord was hanging freely. I’m not sure if there is a Changing Place toilet in St Andrews.
Staff
All staff that we interacted with were very friendly and when we arrived they got us a table quickly.
