Overview
Excellent, with only a couple of small gripes. I went to this branch of Pizza Express in 2011 and it had no accessibility whatsoever for wheelchair users and no accessible toilet. I'm very happy to report that this has been triumphantly fixed. And there's a hearing loop.
Transport & Parking
The restaurant is just south of Oxford St, where many bus routes will drop you off. Tottenham Court Road tube station is step-free street to train (Northern Line), street to platform (Central Line). On the Central Line platforms, staff will assist you with manual boarding ramps. Make sure you let them know at the ticket barrier that you'll need a ramp. I don't know about parking in Soho.
Access
There is a sign by the front entrance directing wheelchair users to a side entrance, where there are two steps, and the staff will fetch you a good sturdy metal ramp to get over the steps. It would be useful to install a bell at the accessible entrance, there is no way to let staff inside know that you are there and need a ramp.
Toilets
A really good accessible toilet, well designed, with everything in place and enough space to turn around. If the restaurant is busy you will need to get staff to help clear the way to the toilet, as it's sometimes a bit obstructed by chairs and tables and coats and bags and other paraphernalia.
Staff
Lovely friendly staff, excellent service. Full marks to our lovely waiter Robert, who did everything with a gentleness and tenderness as if we were his own personal honoured guests at home. One star subtracted for the manager on the evening we were there, who made a sarcastic remark, just before we were about to leave, about how long we had occupied the table. This was unnecessary and unprofessional.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The food is reliably excellent. There's a jazz club downstairs with jazz almost every night. But you would struggle to get there in a wheelchair, as it's down a spiral staircase.
