Overview
Helpful staff and a layout which did not require furniture to be moved to accomodate my wheelchair surprised the pessimist in me who has grown weary of these barriers! Food with flavours we could taste and define rather than a mishmash made for a delightful evening and a huge sense of relief in the dark gloomy January weather! Staff went out of their way to deal with my allergies with no fuss and I had zero complaints of the whole experience. My hopes are this is the same of other locations! The waiting staff were able to point out the current offers and deals which is always good and the restaurant was busy but staff were unflustered by this which is a talent in itself! Will definitely be back with my children who are fussy about which items should be in their favourite Italian dishes!
Transport & Parking
Fort Kinnaird Retail Park has plenty parking and each outlet there has disabled parking spaces directly outside as well as 'free' parking in general. There are a variety of buses both from central Edinburgh and East Lothian with good service.
Access
I would say the only issue is negotiating the glass doors to get into the venue. I'd struggle to do this completely on my own, but I'd be unlikely to go eat without company!
Toilets
The loo was clean and a good size, I had no issue turning or transferring, I was unsure of its location within the building but staff were happy to direct me.
Staff
Staff were very efficient which is a huge plus! They paid attention when I listed my requirements. They didn't rush us between courses or upsell us to death!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The whole experience felt relaxed and easy. This is rare and important in my opinion. The food was fesh and tasty. The venue was busy but not to the detriment of service or cleanliness.
