Overview
If you are like me and think the Pitlochry Dam is beautiful you are in for a treat! This is the perfect place to view the Dam, learn a bit more about it's history and of course, sit back relax with a coffee!
Transport & Parking
We walked from the dam, but there is a large car park about 50 mins away from the centre.
Access
The visitor centre very much embraces accessibility, with step free entrances, lifts and wide areas.
Toilets
Clean, large and modern.
Staff
Staff at the entrance where very nice.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
In the cafe there is a large covered outdoor viewing platform, with brilliant views, however it has large doors which are rather heavy and awkward. The cafe wasn't busy and I saw a few people struggling to opening the doors.

There is no accessibility across the dam because of steps. Since the closure of the fish ladder, which in itself was virtually inaccessible anyway, there really is nothing much worth to see in the Pitlochry area in any case. Nice scenery and an oversupply of tartan tat shops make for a disappointing visit. Why it is so popular for tourism is a mystery to me.
