Overview
The centre its self, has a few interactive attractions, you can also view the Salmon. The café has beautiful views of Tummel river and woodland. The Dam has a few steps up, the person we were with(wheelchair) was able to walk up the steps- but this part would not be suitable if permanently in wheelchair. Overall a good trip for people with dementia and free.
Transport & Parking
There are 2 Disabled parking spaces right outside entrance, down the hill in main car park there are 3 more disabled spaces. From the High Street the road up to visitor centre is quite narrow, so be mindful of pedestrians and oncoming cars. The road is not suitable for a coach/or bus due to low bridge. Parking is Free.
Access
The visitor centre is fully accessible for a wheelchair, there is a lift to all levels. Plenty of space to maneuver. There are tables and chairs outside as well as seating inside the exhibition. The café has plenty room to move around too.
Toilets
There is a disabled toilet as you enter on the left hand side with plenty of room, well sign posted. There is also a separate ladies and gents toilet.
Staff
They were friendly and welcoming but on this occasion we did not require any help
