Overview
I hadn't been to Pettigrew tea Rooms for ages so I thought I would have a coffee there today (Monday September 2nd.) There is a ramp and then a sharp right turn into the cafe. There was a large item with a waterproof cover on it by the entrance. The scooter I use, a Kymco Agility, is large and I need to be able to manoeuvre it through a standard width door. I called a member of staff and said that I couldn't get in and she tried to move the obstacle but I saw it was plugged in and assumed it to be a freezer. There is a very small courtyard by this entrance which is used for storage so I doubt I would have been able to turn even without the freezer. I left in disgust, remarking, 'It's not as accessible as you thought it was.' If you use a standard width wheelchair you might be okay but the toilets are outside in the courtyard so, again, lots of obstacles to negotiate.
