Overview
This garden centre has so much to see. Beautiful plants and well looked after, a huge array of gift options and a very nice restaurant. Disabled parking for cars right outside the entrance and also some just around the corner.
Transport & Parking
We travelled by car. Easy to find and not far from the famous Tiptree jam factory.
Access
Access very good. Plenty of wheelchairs to use just inside the self opening doors. Plenty of space for me to get around on my mobility scooter. Although the restaurant is always busy and we don’t often eat there because of that the food is very good with plenty of choices. They even have a separate vegan menu which is good for me and has some good choices. We were here early this time and so had lunch. The restaurant can get very crowded but I managed to park my scooter right by our table.
Toilets
There is an accessible loo but there is only one door to go through for everyone so might be difficult with a chair especially in busy times as it’s located just outside the restaurant. I left mine just outside and used my stick to go in. I had to leave a label on the red cord as it wasn’t long enough. It was ‘cleanish’.
Staff
Staff in restaurant were amazingly helpful especially with parking the scooter as they moved things out of the way for me.
