Overview
We went for afternoon tea for a family celebration. It was a nice intimate setting. The food was very nice, but I was a little disappointed the cups were not china, and there was no choice of tea, no separate tea menu for connoisseurs. Sandwiches were good. Would have liked more variety in the cakes. They have a small main meal menu, and I would definitely return on another occasion, given the great accessibility and service.
Transport & Parking
We drove there. There is a drop off point near the door, and disabled parking a short level walk away. It would not be easy to get there by bus or train.
Access
There is level entry and automatic glass doors. It is also a hotel, so lift access to bedrooms, but we didn't stay the night, so can't comment on that. Accessibility is fine for wheelchair users.
Toilets
Nice accessible toilet with room for carer, doubled as baby change. Very clean, necessary grab bars etc. However it was a long way down a fairly dark corridor and the signage wasn't great.
Staff
The staff were fine. Nice welcome and staff serving our tea did everything without fuss, and left us to enjoy our food in peace.
