New Shopping Centre in the Heart of the Peak District

Overview
An extremely pleasant, pristine shopping centre, with cafes and open spaces. Lots of good shops, not just the usual, in fact there were some independent shops. All the shops had space for wheelchair or walker. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy a potter round when you are in the area. I found the slopes a little hard going in places. One cafe had a ramp and the garden shop had a ramp inside, all very well planned. Lots of flowers around in planters made it very attractive.
Transport & Parking
We drove. Large car park with accessible spaces.
Access
There were both steps and a ramp from the car park to the shops. The only downside was there were a lot of slopes, which can be hard on a walker, and some sloping cambers too. Plenty of benches and all the shops had level access. The large charity shop had steps at one side, with handrails but if you go round the other side it's level access.
Toilets
There was one accessible toilet near the back so it took a while to find (my husband went on ahead to find it. It was a good changing places toilet and when it was occupied later I used the family room which had a toilet, changing table etc and the whole thing locked.
Staff
There were no staff as such except the shop keepers but they were all extremely pleasant, smiley and helpful.
