Pasture House is a luxurious three-storey ‘manor house' style new build finished to an exceptionally high standard and The Stables is a single-level property that is a renovated stable block that boasts original beams, open brickwork and glorious views of nearby farmland. Both properties are heated and have hot water supply from a Ground Source Heat Pump. Both properties have level access throughout the ground floor including ground floor ensuite bedrooms.
Accessibility
Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and the choice to have every bedroom as either a Superking or Twin layout. Which we have been told is beneficial when a carer comes to stay with someone who has a disability because they can stay in the same room when the beds are chosen to be laid out as a twin format. Both cottages have ground floor, accessible bedrooms with level access throughout the ground floor and outside, ensuring everyone enjoys the same experience. In the ground floor ensuites of each cottage, there is a pull-down rail, two rigid handles, lower shower basket and shower seat, the bedrooms are also tiled and level throughout. In keeping with the luxury finish, the pull down and rigid rails are chrome and the shower seat is black and chrome so that it doesn’t bring a clinical feel to the room. In Pasture House there is also a lower-level vanity unit, with a gap underneath allowing a wheelchair to be pulled up to it, similarly with the dressing table. There is also lower storage and hanging space for clothes in the Willow bedroom. In the kitchen there is a lower section of kitchen unit with two sockets and no drawers underneath, allowing someone in a wheelchair to make a drink or prepare food if they wish. Additionally, there are large contrasts in the wall colour and architrave around the doors in most rooms to help visually impaired guests navigate around Pasture House.
