Overview

Park Theatre has two stages and a bar/ cafe. They show a variety of productions throughout the year. The building is very accessible and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Transport & Parking

The theatre is close to Finsbury Park tube and railway stations. Finsbury Park Tube Station has been step free since 20219. If you are travelling by tube the nearest exit is Goodwin Street, see photo. On exiting turn right and walk along a short, pedestrianised street called City North Place. Walk to the end, where Finsbury Park Picturehouse is on the right hand corner. Turn right onto Wells Terrace and immediately left onto Clifton Terrace. Park Theatre is on the left hand side. There are several buses that stop on Seven Sisters Road. From there you will neither need to walk Fonthill Road, turn right at Goodwin Street to the tube entrance and then follow the directions above. If the bus stops in Station Place, the forecourt immediately outside the Railway Station, it is easier to walk up Stroud Green Road, under the railway bridge, then either turn 1st right into Wells Terrace and then 1st right into Clifton Terrace.

Access

The entrance doors are manual and lead into a bar area with some freestanding seating and tables. The box office is on the right, with part of its counter lowered. To access the other floors there are staircases with rails on both sides or a lift. On Floor 1 there is a bar and more freestanding tables and chairs. I sat in C31 in the stalls, which was a step free seat. The other rows towards the front (Row A) were accessible by a couple of steps, without handrails. There is also a circle/ upper gallery. The seating is comfortable, padded benches with back support but no arms, and are really nice to sit in.

Toilets

I used the toilet on the Lower Ground Floor which was very conveniently adjacent to the entrance to the stalls. the toilet was clean, tidy, with grab rails and emergency cord towards the floor.

Staff

Staff were really lovely and helpful. They organised that I had an accessible seat and the people taking checking the tickets were also very friendly.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The theatre is very accessible offering Captioned and Audio Described, Relaxed and Dementia Friendly performances. Really enjoyed my visit and will be back. Well worth visiting.
