Look for the moving stairs near the hospital

Overview
I had a broken foot and used the tour bus to see all the sites in Barcelona but when I arrived at the stop for Park Güell, I realised that even taking a taxi would only take me a few hundred metres closer. We went off to find a restaurant for lunch and found a great one used by the hospital staff and we spotted an outdoor moving stairs, similar to the type you find in a department store. It took us close to the exit for the park but we did not mind visiting Park Güell, counter clockwise. My foot healed but I have always been glad that had a spot of luck on the day and were able to enjoy the park bathed in beautiful sunshine on a crispy cold January day
Transport & Parking
There was a car park but not close to the park
Access
The tourist guides could not offer any information about diabled access. We found the moving stairs by chance
Toilets
The park was having an overhaul so the toilets may have been renovated too by now
Staff
We did not have any contact with the staff as we came in the back door!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The little restaurant near the hospital and the moving stairs was a real find but get there early as it is full to bursting with the staff from the hospital from midday onwards
