Overview
Landscaped gardens that are beautiful to walk around, many of the pathways are tarmacked or compacted earth allowing for wheelchair access, you can request a guide map for the accessible route, some areas are difficult to get to unless you have a strong companion to push you up the hills, when the crystal grotto is open wheelchairs can enter via the exit. There's a tearoom at the entrance which is accessible and provides a range of hot/cold food and drinks.
Transport & Parking
Plenty of free parking with disabled spaces short distance from the entrance.
Access
The site is naturally hilly but most paths are wheelchair accessible, some need a strong companion to push you up the hills, path around the lake is mainly flat, plenty of benches around. The map provided shows the accessible route
Toilets
The toilets are at the entrance. The accessible loo is a decent size but as often usual houses the baby change as well. There is space for a companion but may be a tight fit if a lot of assistance is required.
Staff
The ladies in the reception/gift shop and tearoom were all friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A companion gets in free with a disabled visitor. As the grounds are extensive the place feels quiet and restful despite being a stone's throw from the M25
