Overview
We went for lunch and a potter round. The cafe was very good homemade food and plenty of room for my walker, and there would be for a wheelchair. It was possible to sit indoors or outdoors, and the outdoor section had a canopy, which also covered some of the plant sales area. It was very pleasant to sit on a bench enjoying the warmth amongst the plants, and listening to birdsong, which was amplified by the canopy. On the downside, some of the ground in this part was rather uneven, with potholes etc. There was an excellent gift shop area, good for cards, wrapping paper and gifts.
Transport & Parking
We went by car, There is a large car park, with disabled spaces near the entrance. Unfortunately, these were all taken when we arrived, but the car park wasn't too bad to walk on, and my husband moved the car when one became available, so it was easier to walk back (I use a walker).
Access
The place was all on one level, though there were a few thresholds to watch out for, with small ramps. There were no steps. There were benches about, though more seats in the gift shop would help. I had to sit on my walker seat a few times.
Toilets
There were two accessible toilets. The ones in the general part of the garden centre were out of order, but I was able to use the ladies as there was room for my walker to get in, then I used my stick in the cubicle. There was a steep ramp down to these toilets. However, there were nicer toilets inside the cafe, and you wouldn't need to eat in the cafe to access them. They were clearly signed and very spacious, but not a changing room facility.
Staff
We didn't buy anything in the plant section, but the staff in the gift shop were helpful. The cafe staff were very good. You order at the counter but they bring the order to the table, so there was no carrying needed. Tables were wiped promptly which led to a clean feeling.
