This review focuses on hearing loop acceptance and awareness as part of the Hearing Link "Let's Loop the UK" project.

There was signage to indicate there was a hearing loop in the shop window but not on the counter. There is a mobile loop which was located under the counter. When the loop was switched on, brought out from under counter on to top, and turned the right way round, it worked well.

Assistant did not know that shop had a portable loop, but other assistant did, He did not know that loop had to be on the counter, nor to turn it to face customer.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Needs to have signage on counter, and staff training. As some mobile phones are more hearing-aid friendly than others, this could be incorporated into training.
