Charming accessible gardens with views
Visit date:

Overview
The gardens at Nymans are accessible in a wheelchair although most of the paths are gravel. There is an accessible route to avoid steps and if you wheel on to the grass there are some magnificent views of the Sussex downs. Plenty of disabled parking, accessible cafe and 2 disabled toilets.
Transport & Parking
9 clearly marked wide disabled parking bays close to the entrance and cafe
Access
The cafe and grounds are accessible although, as expected, the gravel paths are uneven in places. There is a wheelchair route but if it is dry you can wheel over the grass and see a lot more. Rose garden and summer border fully accessible by wheelchair
Toilets
Two disabled toilets. One near to the car park and the second at the cafe. It is shared with baby changing and the large nappy bun could be a problem for some wheelchair users
Staff
Really helpful and welcoming. Provided a wheelchair accessible map and advised on the locations to visit.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
An excellent National Trust Garden and cafe. As in so many places sharing a toilet with nappy changing does reduce the space.
