Lunch with Carer

Overview
Door opens inwards directly from the street. A small step to get in, no good for electric wheelchairs, member of staff opened the door for us and we were shown to our table.
Transport & Parking
No parking outside restaurant, but plenty of blue badge spaces within 300m walk.
Access
Plenty of room within the restaurant to manoeuver, no steps inside.
Toilets
Clean and tidy. Good space to get in with carer, but not wide enough to turn round.
Staff
Menus arrived quickly and order taken promptly. Starters and drinks arrived shortly after. However staff were not attentive despite the restaurant not being busy. We were not asked if we were enjoying our meal. They did not notice we had finished our starters and it was only when my carer turned me round to look at the blackboard listing the desserts (we were only having starters and desserts) did the waitress come across to remove our plates. The came with our desserts without delay.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I had king prawns in a tempura batter on a crispy salad drizzled with a honey and sweet chili dressing, this was excellent. But the main menu was limited and the dessert menu was unexciting and quite basic. The Restaurant was decorated with 1950's signs to give a traditional impression, unfortunately the food and service was not up to what we expect today. In addition it was not good value for money
