Overview
Staff were attentive and helpful - spotted my wheelchair outside the front door and came out to offer assistance. Access was made easy by a wheelchair lift and a member of staff escorted us to our seats.
Transport & Parking
We went by train so can't comment on parking. It was a twenty minute relatively easy push (my daughter pushed me) from Waterloo - level with a gentle incline at one end of Waterloo bridge and then up to the wheelchair accessible entrance to the station. Nearest tube does not have step free access (Covent Garden). However Taxis abound round theatre land, and are wheelchair accessible.
Access
Booking staff were very helpful, telling me where to go and what would happen. They were spot on. As soon as we arrived at the front of the theatre, a staff member spotted us in the crowd and was at our side before we knew it. He got someone to fetch our tickets from the box office, then that person took me round the side where another staff member met us. We used a separate entrance with a wheelchair lift to dress circle level. My daughter came too. He took us to our seats, showed me the loo, showed me where my chair was.
Toilets
Near to dress circle on same level. Clean and well equipped.
Staff
Exemplary in every way. Met us at the end to assist us leaving via the wheelchair lift.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Mamma Mia is a super show. The booking team (call the theatre access line) were super helpful. They have spaces for wheelchairs or seats to transfer into (I had the latter). At the front of the dress circle, the view was great. The tickets are discounted for wheelchair users and carers.
