Overview
Arriving unannounced I wasn't too sure about the accessibility. I am happy to report it was very good!
Transport & Parking
There is limited parking to the rear of the building and on street. Buses stop in the adjacent streets.
Access
Getting into the Resource Centre was through an automated door where you press a button to gain access. Once inside there's a lowered reception counter which was good. No resting your chin on the counter here! The corridors were wide and clearly defined and easy to negotiate using my powerchair. All areas I visited were accessible and where there were doors these were easy to manage.
Toilets
There is an accessible loo next to the main meeting room / cafe. It has grab rails, plenty of space and is clean and tidy.
Staff
Top marks to the staff, from the lady on reception through to the other staff members I met. Most helpful and friendly.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The Centre has several resources and specialises in services for sensory impaired people. On certain days there's a drop in cafe, there's also various groups, classes, and events.
