Overview
This is a review of the bistro only as we were not staying in the hotel.
Transport & Parking
The bistro does not have a car park but is a couple of minutes walk/wheel from a public car park. It has, I think, two Blue Badge spaces. These do not have cross hatching - whereas the electric charging points have ample cross hatching on both sides.
Access
There is level access to the bistro and to the tables outside the front. The bistro isn't very large but there is room to manoeuvre a wheelchair. The beer garden is down a paved path beside the building. There are about three steps up to it with a handrail. I didn't go right in but the tables seemed to be picnic tables.
Toilets
This was the only downside of our visit. My relative needs a grip on both sides to lever herself up. The drop down rail was fine but the rail attached to the wall was too far away to reach. I don't think there was a red cord. Another drop down rail would solve this problem. We were able to use the public toilets in the nearby car park which are accessed with a RADAR key.
Staff
Very hard working and pleasant.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We went for an early evening meal, but later on the restaurant was getting busy so it might be best to book.
