Overview
Nice Cote d’ Azur Airport is located on the western edge of Nice. It has two terminals. There are scheduled flights from all the major European cities. Special assistance is available. This review is for my latest trip but I used the airport annually for the last 3 years and I've been happy when I have flown in or out.
Transport & Parking
The easiest way to get from/ to the airport is to use the tram. The tram is step free and has wheelchair spaces. There are two lines that go to the airport. Most tourist will use tram line 2 that goes from the airport to Port Lympia, as that line goes through Nice city centre. The other tram line 3 goes to Saint Isidore. Tickets need to be purchased, from a machine, before boarding the tram and validated in a machine once you get on it. The trams are very regular.
Access
On arrival I was met by special assistance. I was taken by wheelchair through the airport to the tram platform. The service was excellent.
Toilets
There are accessible toilets with a grab rail.
Staff
Special assistance staff were brilliant. Myself and other passengers were met off the plane and we didn't have to wait. The staff spoke good English and were helpful in taking me through to where my onward journey started.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
From London the flight to Nice is under 2 hours, plus the easy tram journey from the airport to the hotel makes it a good accessible option.
