Overview

Excellent accessibility made this a great day out and despite current Covid conditions there are takeout cafes run very safely, disabled toilets and a brilliant indoor giant greehouse that takes you up to canopy level on an accessible pathway. Outdoor gardens are varied and very well maintained. Butterfly House was closed due to Covid issues when we visited.

Transport & Parking

5

Good approach close to main Swansea to Carmarthen road but you do need a car as there is no nearby railway station.

Access

5

95% of paths and gardens are accessible and they are very hepful at reception where there is a map of the whole gardens. Plenty of benches, picnic tables. Some braille signs.

Toilets

5

Two disabled access loos with good space and very clean.

Staff

5

Very helpful staff including a welcoming person before the ticket office who can answer any questions.

Good paths Impressive, accessible glasshouse Formal gardens lovely but so are the outlying bits. This is one of 7 lakes being restored. Interesting section on history of plants going back millions of years. This is one of them!
