Overview

This is a really good free museum in Edinburgh. It's a small size but with just the right amount of information to make it really interesting. The museum is all on one level too which is great!

Transport & Parking

There are bus stops close by and it is up the hill from Waverley station. It's on a slightly steep part of hill if your're arriving on foot.

Access

Very good. A staff member is by the front door and opens it for you as arrive then hands you a guide to the museum. The first thing you see is £1 million! There are large print and audio guides, and there are magnifiers beside some exhibits. Quite a few interactive activities too!

Toilets

I didn't use these but they were there and clearly signposted.

Staff

Very friendly! Feels like you are walking into an old bank with excellent customer service.
