Overview
Came to the Free Derry museum with a group and had no problems with accessibility.
Transport & Parking
We came on foot/wheels from Bogside, the area has flush drop kerbs and - I found - generally comfortable access all around. There is parking outside but unsure on times or limits in place. Also not sure about public transport.
Access
The museum is quite modern and it appears that they have thought about accessibility in its making which is great. It is level access into the main museum floor. The reception (also where you buy souvenirs) is low down. There is a lift up to a second floor which is used for presentations or tours. Some areas of the main museum floor are quite dark and audio is played over speakers with sensitive material which can be overwhelming at times. There are benches outside this area if you need to take a break.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is to the left of the reception desk. No access key or pin required. Handrails are on both side and space under the sink to roll under. Signage is clear for the toilets
Staff
Lovely and near if you need any help.
